Pitch Me
Hi there!
Welcome to Fear and Parenting in Las Vegas. I hope you enjoy your stay here on my lovely blog. If you want to read my other work you can find me at The Imperfect Parent. (I used to be over at the Savvy Source Las Vegas, but life got too crazy and, some things had to go. But you can still find some of my old stuff over there.) I also have a review blog, GoodBadUgly Reviews.
In the real world, I am an accredited 15-year PR vet, so I undersand the value of PR and advertising done right. That said, here are some of the general guidelines for pitching and advertising here in my section of the blogosphere.
Public Relations
Please do me a favor and read my blog before pitching me. You’d never blind pitch a reporter, so please don’t blind pitch me. Spell check your stuff and get my name right. It’s Nancy. It’s not Fear and Parenting in Las Vegas.
If you have a product, service, or event that you’d like to let folks know about, I’m all ears, especially if it’s about Vegas, kids, or even better yet, kids in Vegas. I’m happy to give an honest review and to even share your wares as a giveaway to my readers.
This blog is about the good, the bad and the ugly. So, if you really want my opinion, you’d really better be ready for the blunt truth. If it’s great, I’ll sing your praises to the highest hills. If it’s crap, I’m gonna call it like it is.
Advertising
I blog because I have something to say. I don’t blog to make money. But, if you want to say something on my blog, I’m happy to take your money to help offset the costs of this little hobby o’ mine. Here are my criteria.
It has to be relevant to the topics covered in this blog. Are you a Vegas company or have products for families or kids? Let me know. Are you a pharmaceutical company pitching your latest sexual enhancement product? Keep moving.
It has to be clean, legal, and in alignment with my morals (questionable as they may be) and opinions. Liberal agendas are welcome. NRA and KKK? Not so much.
At this point, I can only take text ads. I am in the process of making hosting changes to allow for banner ads. If you’re interested in the latter, let me know and I’ll get back with you as soon as the site’s been moved over.
You can contact me at fandpinlv(at)gmail(dot)com.
